Tensions Escalate in Persian Gulf as Iran Reports Strikes on US Bases

Iranian state television, citing military sources, has announced ballistic missile and drone attacks targeting US military installations across the Persian Gulf region. The developments come amid ongoing regional conflict and reported retaliatory actions.

According to multiple reports, explosions were heard near several key sites hosting US forces. In the United Arab Emirates, a powerful blast was reported in Abu Dhabi, with Iranian media claiming strikes on Al Dhafra Air Base. The UAE has closed its airspace in response.

In Bahrain, smoke was visible in Manama’s Al Jufair district, home to the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters, following alleged Iranian strikes. Local authorities urged residents to remain indoors and avoid military areas.

Qatar’s Interior Ministry issued shelter-in-place advisories as air defenses, including Patriot systems, reportedly intercepted missiles near Al Udeid Air Base. The country’s airspace was closed, and its Defense Ministry stated that several attacks had been repelled, placing forces on high alert.

In Kuwait, powerful explosions were reported, prompting authorities to advise citizens to stay home and refrain from going to work.

The situation remains fluid, with limited independent verification of damage or casualties available at this time. Information continues to evolve rapidly as regional authorities and international outlets monitor developments. Further updates are expected as the situation clarifies.
