🚨FBI Releases New Description, Doubles Reward In Guthrie Case

The FBI’s Phoenix field office has released a more detailed description of a person captured on doorbell camera footage connected to the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie and increased the reward for information to $100,000. Investigators say the individual appears to be a man about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build, carrying a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker backpack.

Officials say the update is meant to help narrow the flood of tips pouring in from the public. Since Feb. 1, the FBI has received more than 13,000 tips, while the Pima County Sheriff’s Department reports nearly 18,000 calls related to the case.

Authorities are asking residents within a two-mile radius of Guthrie’s home to submit any doorbell or surveillance footage, particularly from Jan. 11 between 9 p.m. and midnight and Jan. 31 between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m.Investigators have also recovered several items of evidence, including gloves found near the area, which are being examined for fingerprints, DNA, and other forensic clues that could help identify a suspect.
