Speaker Johnson: ‘It Is Bidenomics That Got Us Into This Mess’😱⬇️⬇️

House Speaker Mike Johnson recently delivered a robust critique of the current administration’s economic and border policies, asserting that the framework known as “Bidenomics” is directly responsible for the economic hardships facing American families. During a featured interview on Fox News with co-hosts Bill Hemmer and Dana PerinoJohnson argued that the Biden administration’s high levels of government spending have catalyzed inflation, reaching 40-year highs and significantly increasing the cost of living. In contrast, Johnson championed the effectiveness of Republican economic strategies, which he claims have successfully lowered inflation and stimulated substantial growth, citing a recent 5% growth rate and a five-year low in gas prices as evidence of Trump-era policy successes. Addressing the polarizing debate surrounding national security, Johnson strongly condemned Democratic efforts to defund or abolish ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). He maintained that ICE is fundamental to maintaining public safety and enforcing the law, particularly in the face of what he described as a wide-open border policy under President Joe BidenJohnson estimated that over 20 million individuals have entered the country during the current term, many of whom have settled in “sanctuary cities” such as Minneapolis. He accused Democrats of playing games with national security and insisted that law enforcement must be allowed to perform its duties without political interference or legislative obstruction from Congress.

The Speaker also addressed internal Congressional disputes regarding the Stop Insider Trading Act, a piece of legislation designed to restore public confidence in the legislative branch. Johnson specifically called out Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) for what he characterized as false claims regarding the bill. He clarified that the legislation, drafted by rank-and-file members rather than “wealthy lawmakers,” seeks to ban all stock trading for members of Congress to prevent individuals from enriching themselves through insider information. By policing these activities internally, Johnson hopes to rebuild the American people’s faith and trust in their elected officials, framing the act as a critical step toward ethical governance and transparency in Washington D.C.
