Johnson said Republican leadership has since taken steps to stabilize the economy, citing efforts to cut taxes, curb inflation, and promote growth. He pointed to recent economic indicators—including easing inflation rates, declining gas prices, and economic growth surpassing five percent—as evidence that those policies are working. According to Johnson, these improvements reflect a shift in fiscal priorities following Republican gains in Congress and the White House.

Looking ahead, Johnson predicted that voters would reward Republican leadership in upcoming midterm elections, emphasizing what he described as a clear contrast in economic strategies between the two parties. In addition to economic issues, Johnson addressed immigration policy, criticizing Democratic proposals to reduce or eliminate funding for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He argued the agency is essential to enforcing immigration laws and maintaining public safety, and accused Democrats of weakening law enforcement efforts. Johnson also responded to criticism from Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over the proposed Stop Insider Trading Act. He said the measure, which would prohibit members of Congress from trading stocks, is designed to increase transparency and rebuild public trust in government institutions.
