😢ABC Pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live Off Air Without ExplanationšŸ”„

ABC abruptly canceled the planned Thursday night broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, leaving viewers and scheduled guests with little explanation. The late-night show had been set to welcome actor David Duchovny, Stranger Things star Joe Keery, and singer Madison Beer. Earlier in the day, Beer told fans on X that her appearance had been postponed ā€œdue to unforeseen circumstancesā€ and promised it would be rescheduled. ABC has not issued an official statement about the cancellation. However, entertainment outlet LateNighter reported that the decision may be connected to a ā€œpersonal matter.ā€

When the show’s usual 11:35 p.m. Eastern time slot arrived, viewers instead saw a rerun from October 28 rather than host Jimmy Kimmel delivering his opening monologue. The sudden change quickly sparked confusion and speculation online. A Reddit user claiming to have tickets for the taping shared what appeared to be an email from the show’s audience team explaining that the episode had been postponed and that ticket holders would be contacted about a new date.

Kimmel typically records the show Monday through Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time and has rarely missed an episode during his more than 20 years as host. The unexpected cancellation follows another brief disruption last September tied to controversy over comments Kimmel made about supporters of Donald Trump after the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
