Authorities have released disturbing surveillance images showing a masked individual outside the Tucson home of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie shortly before she disappeared.
Investigators say the black-and-white footage captures a person wearing a balaclava, gloves, a jacket, and a backpack approaching the front porch. The individual appears to be carrying a flashlight and slowly moving around the property while looking around.
According to officials, the person intentionally tampered with a security camera. Footage shows the figure pulling plants from the yard and placing them over the lens in an effort to block the cameraās view. At one point, the individual appears to hold a flashlight in their mouth while disabling the device, which was later rendered unusable. The images were recovered from remaining system data after recording equipment was removed from the home. The FBI and the Pima County Sheriffās Department released the footage hoping to generate new leads. Nancy Guthrie has been missing since January 31, and investigators continue searching for answers.
