A Tragic End to a Routine Flight: The Greg Biffle Plane Crash
The sky lit up with a sudden, horrifying flash. What began as a routine takeoff from Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina on December 18, 2025, ended in tragedy as Greg Biffle’s private jet plummeted from the clouds and exploded in a nearby field. The Cessna Citation 550 (C550), owned by Biffle’s GB Aviation Leasing LLC, departed around 10:06 a.m. bound for a family trip to Florida. Witnesses described the aircraft struggling shortly after takeoff.
