Breaking: New Poll Shows Washington Voters Growing “Fed Up,” Survey Finds.

A new national poll released by NBC News suggests growing frustration among American voters as the 2026 midterm elections approach, signaling potential shifts in the country’s political landscape. The survey indicates that many voters feel increasingly dissatisfied with political leadership and are seeking broader institutional change.

The poll shows that Donald Trump faces mounting challenges, with a majority of registered voters expressing disapproval of his administration’s performance. Economic concerns remain the most significant issue. According to the survey, 62% of respondents disapprove of the president’s handling of inflation and the rising cost of living. Nearly half of those surveyed—48%—said they believe his policies have negatively affected the U.S. economy, while 55% view the administration’s tariff policies unfavorably. Only 35% reported that these policies had improved their personal financial situation.

Foreign policy and immigration issues also reveal deep divisions among voters. A majority now opposes U.S. military strikes on Iran, reflecting growing caution about prolonged international conflicts. On domestic security, 53% of respondents approve of current border security management, but 54% disapprove of immigration enforcement policies. Public opinion of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is also mixed, with more than half of voters holding a negative view. If the election were held today, Democrats would hold a 50% to 44% advantage in the generic congressional ballot. The poll also shows 51% of voters prioritize preventing ineligible voting over expanding ballot access, highlighting an evolving debate over election laws nationwide.
