BREAKING NEWS!!đź’Ą Shock in D.C.: President Donald Trump Shot AGAIN

Security Breach Shakes White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Washington — The annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, long a fixture of Washington’s political and media elite known for its blend of sharp satire and high-profile networking, was thrown into chaos Saturday night when gunfire erupted outside the main ballroom at the Washington Hilton.

The incident forced the immediate evacuation of President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, senior administration officials, and lawmakers, including White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. As the gala was just getting underway with toasts to the press corps, Secret Service agents swiftly moved to secure the President and other protected figures, escorting them from the stage and ballroom amid scenes of panic.

Law enforcement identified the suspect as Cole Tomas Allen, 31, of Torrance, California. According to authorities and photographic evidence, Allen — described as shirtless — was apprehended in the hotel lobby after charging a security checkpoint. He was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, multiple knives, and other items. A Secret Service agent was shot at close range during the confrontation but survived without life-threatening injuries due to wearing a bulletproof vest.

Interim D.C. Police Chief Jeffrey Carroll characterized Allen as a lone actor and a registered hotel guest, indicating no immediate broader threat to the public. Federal charges against Allen include attempted assassination of the President. Authorities have searched his California residence as part of the ongoing investigation into his motive.

President Trump, who was attending the dinner, later commended law enforcement for their “fantastic job” and rapid response in neutralizing the threat. He described the suspect as a “sick person” and expressed surprise at the unity that emerged among the diverse group of journalists, politicians, and guests in the face of danger. “It was very beautiful,” Trump remarked, noting how the shared crisis fostered a sense of togetherness at an event centered on freedom of speech.

Organizers initially considered continuing the program, but the event was officially canceled by 9:45 p.m. Trump indicated he had advocated strongly to proceed with his planned remarks critiquing the press corps. The dinner is expected to be rescheduled within the next 30 days.

The violent disruption represents one of the most significant security breaches at a high-profile political gathering in Washington, D.C., in recent memory. It has already prompted a comprehensive review of safety protocols at the Washington Hilton and for similar future events. As investigations continue, the incident underscores the persistent challenges of protecting public figures amid heightened political tensions.
