Trump Authorizes Major Military Strike on Iran’s Kharg Island.

President Donald Trump announced that U.S. Central Command executed a massive bombing campaign against Iranian military targets on Kharg Island. Described as one of the most powerful raids in the history of the Middle East, the operation specifically targeted military infrastructure while intentionally sparing oil facilities.

Trump characterized this restraint as an act of decency but warned that any interference with global shipping through the Strait of Hormuz would trigger an immediate reconsideration of this decision. The President asserted that the United States military has been rebuilt into the world’s most lethal force, claiming Iran lacks the defensive capability to counter such sophisticated attacks. Beyond the physical strikes, Trump declared that Iran’s regional ambitions and threats against Israel have been neutralized.

He reiterated his administration’s long-standing hardline stance, vowing that the regime will never be permitted to develop nuclear weapons and urging the Iranian military to stand down. While Trump reported the campaign is unfolding successfully, other reports highlighted the high stakes of the conflict. The Wall Street Journal noted that an Iranian drone attack in Saudi Arabia damaged five U.S. Air Force refueling planes. Furthermore, a tragic crash of a KC-135 Stratotanker in western Iraq resulted in the deaths of six crew members, underscoring the ongoing volatility and human cost of the regional escalation.
