😱Trump and U.S. Military Execute ‘Operation Epic Fury’ Amid Iranian Leadership Transition

President Donald Trump has voiced strong opposition to the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader of Iran, following the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The elder Khamenei was reportedly killed during an initial airstrike at the onset of Operation Epic Fury. In a recent interview with Fox News correspondent Trey YingstTrump expressed skepticism regarding the new leader’s ability to “live in peace,” noting that current joint U.S. and Israeli military efforts are significantly outpacing initial expectations in their effectiveness against the Iranian regime at this early stage. The geopolitical stakes were further heightened by Trump’s recent Truth Social warnings directed at Tehran. The President asserted that Iran would face retaliation “twenty times harder” if any attempt were made to obstruct the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz. While Trump emphasized a preference for avoiding total devastation, he cautioned that the United States is prepared to strike “easily destroyable targets” that would effectively prevent Iran from ever recovering as a nation. This hardline stance underscores the administration’s commitment to neutralizing threats to global energy security.

According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM)Operation Epic Fury was launched on February 28. Within its first ten days, the campaign has targeted over 5,000 strategic locations and decimated more than 50 vessels belonging to the Iranian Navy. The offensive has prioritized the destruction of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) headquarters, command and control centers, and critical intelligence sites. Furthermore, the U.S. military has systematically dismantled integrated air defense systemsballistic missile sites, and manufacturing facilities for drones, leaving the regime’s defensive and offensive capabilities in shambles as American forces deliver “overwhelming firepower” day and night. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth reported from the Pentagon that the United States is maintaining an “overwhelming and unrelenting focus” as the operation enters its eleventh day. Hegseth highlighted that while the U.S. is intensifying its strikes with refined intelligence and unprecedented fighter-bomber sorties, Iran’s missile output has plummeted to record lows. He described the Iranian military as being “systematically degraded” and accused the leadership of using civilian infrastructure like schools as shields. In a diplomatic turn, Hegseth addressed a recent phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, explicitly warning that Russia should remain uninvolved in the ongoing Iran conflict to ensure American objectives are met without outside interference.
