Tensions in the Persian Gulf have sharply escalated following reports of attacks on United States military facilities in the region. Iranian state television, citing military sources, announced that strikes had been launched against U.S. bases located in several Gulf countries.

According to the reports, Iranian ballistic missiles targeted military installations, prompting urgent warnings from local authorities. Residents in affected areas were advised to remain indoors and stay away from military zones as a precaution. Reuters reported a powerful explosion in Abu Dhabi, after which the United Arab Emirates temporarily closed its airspace. The Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE was reportedly among the sites struck, with large explosions heard nearby.

In Bahrain’s capital, Manama, smoke was seen rising from the Al Jufair district, home to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters, following an alleged strike. Meanwhile, Qatar’s Interior Ministry urged residents to shelter in place after a Patriot missile defense system reportedly intercepted a missile aimed at Al Udeid Air Base.
