European Nations Launch Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition with Ukraine
In a coordinated response to ongoing security challenges, Ukraine and representatives from 13 European countries, supported by NATO, have established a new “anti-ballistic coalition” focused on strengthening joint production of advanced missile defense systems.
The initiative was formally announced following a meeting of national security advisers in Kyiv on May 12, 2026. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the coalition as a practical step toward building European self-sufficiency in air and missile defense capabilities, particularly in the face of sustained Russian ballistic missile and drone attacks.
